As energy efficiency incentives become increasingly prominent in Europe, the demand for high-efficiency LED light source devices continues to rise. The existing fluorescent system YAG+nitride scheme has encountered bottlenecks in brightness enhancement, while the combination with large-sized chips has led to a significant increase in product costs. As an innovative leader in the LED packaging industry, Refond Lighting, in response to the demands of the intelligent lighting market, signed a KSF (PFS) phosphor application patent authorization agreement with Current Chemical Corporation in September 2023, becoming one of the few packaging companies internationally authorized to use KSF phosphor.
KSF phosphor plays a crucial role in the lighting field by absorbing high-energy blue light and converting it into other colors of light, thereby increasing luminous efficiency. Furthermore, both GE and Current, two global enterprises, have a long history and deep technical accumulation in the LED field, providing quality assurance compared to many counterfeit KSF materials on the market.
Due to its sensitivity to moisture and high temperatures, the color drift of KSF materials significantly increases in harsh and humid environments. Refond focuses on enhancing the moisture and heat resistance of KSF materials and packaging technology to apply KSF technology to lighting products and meet customer requirements for product performance indicators.
With its narrow emission bandwidth, good thermal stability, and significant improvement in LED efficiency, KSF phosphor effectively enhances the Color Rendering Index (CRI) of LED lighting.
